Key West Beaches
Key West is a small island with a lot of character and a fairly large population. With year-round sunshine and warm weather you d have to guess that lots of folks will at one point or another seek out a beach in Key West to flop down and catch some of our Florida sunshine.
Smathers Beach
One of the most popular Key West beach locations is Smathers Beach. This is the longest stretch of beach on the island and runs along the Atlantic. This beach has ample parking along the sidewalk adjacent to the beach and at the west end there are bathroom facilities and outdoor showers.
Smathers Beach
A one-half mile expanse of sandy, man-made beach, with restrooms, ample parking, concessions and numerous accoutrements. Located on South Roosevelt Boulevard.
Fort Zachary Taylor State Park
At the tip of Key West where the Key West Harbor meets the Atlantic Ocean.
Rest Beach
Sandy with natural vegetation, a great fishing pier with wheelchair accessibility. Located on White Street.
Dog Beach
Adjacent to Louies Backyard restaurant, a popular spot for dog lovers.
Higgs Beach
On Atlantic Blvd where it meets Reynolds is a sandy beach with pier, restroom, Salute restaurant, a new playground, picnic tables, chair rentals and volleyball.
South Beach
Shallow waters, a concrete pier, no restrooms or facilities, at the end of Duval Street on the Atlantic Ocean.
